At our "Amigos" center, we provide a safe, nurturing, and dynamic learning environment built on two core principles: Early Childhood Best Practices and Full Spanish Language and Cultural Immersion. We believe in developing the whole child—emotionally, socially, physically, and cognitively—while giving them the invaluable gift of lifelong bilingualism.
(Ages 6 weeks to approximately 15 months)
The Infant Program focuses on responsive, individualized care within a tranquil and language-rich environment. Our curriculum is tailored to each baby's unique schedule, supporting their rapid developmental milestones.
Responsive Care: Building trust and attachment through consistent, loving interactions, cuddles, and frequent eye contact from our dedicated, native Spanish-speaking teachers.
Spanish Language Immersion: Teachers speak to infants almost exclusively in Spanish, using songs, simple phrases, and naming objects during all routines (feeding, diapering, playing) to naturally build auditory language foundation.
Sensory & Motor Development: Daily, intentional activities such as Tummy Time to build core strength, gentle movements, and sensory exploration with age-appropriate toys and materials (high-contrast colors, soft textures, gentle music).
Communication: Daily reports detail feeding, sleeping, and diaper changes, ensuring open communication and continuity of care between school and home.
(Ages 16 months to approximately 3 years)
The Toddler Program transforms basic care into intentional learning. We focus on independence, mobility, and the explosive growth in language and social awareness characteristic of this age.
Language Acquisition: Vocabulary expands rapidly through interactive stories, fingerplays, and Spanish songs related to weekly themes (e.g., animals, colors, seasons). Spanish remains the primary language of instruction.
Developing Independence: Encouraging self-help skills like feeding themselves, hand-washing, and early toilet-readiness with patient guidance.
Social & Emotional Growth: Toddlers learn fundamental social skills like sharing, taking turns, and expressing feelings using simple Spanish phrases (e.g., “Mi turno,” “Gracias”), reducing frustration and building empathy.
Learning Through Exploration: Utilizing a play-based curriculum (often based on the Creative Curriculum or similar models) where children engage with learning centers like blocks, dramatic play, and art to develop fine and gross motor skills.
(Ages 3 years to 5 years)
Our Preschool Program provides a dynamic, structured setting that prepares children for future academic success while solidifying their Spanish fluency and cultural understanding.
Academic Readiness: An engaging pre-K curriculum that teaches early literacy (phonological awareness, letter recognition), mathematics (counting, patterns, shapes), and science/STEAM concepts, all integrated into the Spanish immersion model.
Bilingual Communication: Students are fully immersed in Spanish lessons and activities, which is complemented by English instruction as needed to ensure clear communication and transition to elementary school.
Cultural Enrichment: Exposure to the vibrant traditions, music, and geography of various Spanish-speaking countries, fostering a global perspective.
Executive Functioning: Activities promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and self-regulation as children work on projects, collaborate in learning centers, and participate in teacher-led group instruction.
